  2. Type “WSReset.exe” and press enter.
  3. A blank, black window will open, which will close after a short period.

4. Can’t Open Start Menu in Windows 10

Even when clicking the Windows key on the keyboard or the Start button on the Windows taskbar, the Start menu or screen does not appear. This is most likely due to an incorrect system file installation. Please follow the actions outlined below to resolve this issue:

  1. Go to the Run dialogue by pressing Win+R
  2. Type “sfc /scannow” and hit Enter.
  3. A blank command prompt will open and close immediately.
  4. Restart the PC and check if the issue is resolved.

  1. Look for “cmd”, and right-click to select ‘Run as administrator’
  2. Type “Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth” and press Enter

5. Windows Search Can’t Find any Applications

This problem usually comes up because of a buggy Windows 10 update, but the latest update will remove it. If you still facing this issue, you can follow the steps outlined below to solve the issue:

  1. Go to ‘Task Manager
  2. Kill the process ‘Explorer.exe’
  3. Press Win+R and open the Run window.
  4. Type “regedit” and hit Enter.
  5. The registry editor opens; now delete the following registry key:
