Introduction To Self-Heal

Anakage Proactive Cobot is a Self-Heal agent in the users machine which silently detects and fixes issues without any user intervention. It intelligently detects issues based on remediate algorithms over a configured period of time to fix the issue before the user notices them.

This Cobot continuously monitors the systems for issue detection and auto-remediation, followed by sending a report to the admin portal for analytics. In case an issue is not resolved, admin will get an overview for it from the portal and can invoke the fix from the portal without taking remote control of the machines.


Ron, an IT support administrator noticed a significant volume of tickets raised on break fix issues like some essential services were not running, slowness issues due to cookies, cache & temp files crossing a threshold level, etc. Apart from this, he also noticed that significant amount of engineer’s time is spent on ensuring compliance across the organization like ensuring antivirus, browsers, DLP, etc. are updated to the latest version for all the employees, or ensuing the latest group policy is applied to all the machines, etc. 

With Anakage’s proactive cobot configured at the machines, Ron was able to automate all these tasks. From performing silent break fixes like clearing cookies, caches, & temps to ensuring silent non-compliance detections & remediations. Now, If antivirus is not updated to the latest version, or latest group policy is not applied on a machine, proactive silently detects and fixes the issue long before the end user or engineers notice it.

In addition to this, Proactive also sends all these action logs to the admin portal, and Ron as an admin can simply login to the admin dashboard to get an overview of actions performed by proactive for all the machine where it is deployed. For example, machines where the proactive is running, solutions that are configured, issue detected by the cobot and their remediation status like detected, not detected or not applicable etc.

Use cases like enforcing timely password resets, mandatory trainings, compliance notices, “In-moment” surveys, self-declaration of Asset details, regular clean-ups (cache, cookies, temp files, browser histories etc.) can be achieved by the Proactive module.

Silent detect and fix: It’s a lightweight UI-less application installed in the users machine with Actions to fix the issues according to the rules available at local machine and Analytics manager that syncs with server to send action logs.

User digital adoption: It can invoke interactive tours and alerts that introduces and shows contextual information to users inside live business applications with no source code integrations.

Offline, modular security: All proactive detect and act solutions work offline without requiring constant internet connectivity. Anakage is ISO 27001 certified, platform is regularly tested in security assessments and can be deployed On-Premise or on Cloud.

Incidents & SRs management: A combination of ITSM APIs, NLP and intelligent user guidance technologies along with the Proactive Cobot can be used to address what scripts can not for end user support automation in your environment. Thus, using logged incidents, identify relevant solutions and invoke proactive cobot at users machine to guide users with issue resolutions.

Analytics: Collecting relevant information about users machine based on the action logs sent to server with the aim to identify the modifications needed in future.It is accessed via web based admin dashboard.


This way Ron was able to decrease tickets based on the prominent issues across his organisation, saving thousands of engineers hours.

In the long run, Platform Operators (service desk engineers) will be building, more solutions based on future issues on ankage’s low code-no code tool. These solutions when deployed will make a significant improvement across the organisation. Also, these automations will ensure seamless and superior device performance and user experience, eliminating possible downtime scenarios for various issues faced by users on their systems.
