- Click Start
- Either in the Run Box or Search box, type regedit and press Enter.
- If prompted by User Account Control, click Yes
- Registry editor will open as below
For 64 bit machines –
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Registration\{0EA305CE-B708-4D79-8087-D636AB0F1A4D} – ProductName should be “Microsoft Lync 2013”
For 32 bit machines –
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Registration\{0EA305CE-B708-4D79-8087-D636AB0F1A4D} – ProductName should be “Microsoft Lync 2013”
How to detect if Skype for business 2016 is installed –
For 64 bit machines –
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Registration\{03CA3B9A-0869-4749-8988-3CBC9D9F51BB} – ProductName should be “Skype for Business 2016”
For 32 bit machines –
